The video and photo below were taken in 2018, when my patrons asked me to stop by ten years after the installation of this project, which was a huge reach in my technical and creative skills.
Pictured here having received no maintenance except one plug and play pump replacement, it is in fantastic shape for the next 10 or 100 years.
My permanent installations are permanent.

Completion photos from 2008:
American Aqueduct
Ungenda and Garth Murray
12' x 14' x 4 ' (pond) x 110' (length of wall/channel)
Stone w/ concrete foundation, waterjetted steel grates, blown glass, copper, LEDs
2008
After an initial meeting with the soon-to-be patrons, I lay on the shores of nearby Matthews Beach. My imagination was greeted by my muse, which ushered it into the elevator of creativity's ivory tower. As I meditated on what this installation could be, an ambitious vision of sinuous sculptural stonework slicing through the Sand Point landscape was formed. Punctuated by my first blown glass installation, and paying artistic homage to Roman engineering, the installation was realized with artistic input and shared labor with the talented Garth Murray.
